My Top 5: Justin Long Movies

I decided to do a Top 5 post here at the blog. And yes, I stole this idea from Mister Bones! But I'm pretty sure he'll let it slide, being as we're sweet on each other, hehe. Today I wanted to spotlight my favorite actor, Justin Long. I really don't know what it is about this man that I love so much, but I've been a huge fan for years now and enjoy his movies. I really like how he can play the creepy roles so well, yet in other films make me almost piss myself laughing. He's just an awesome actor, in my opinion. I've put together a list of my Top 5 favorite films he's starred in.

5. After.Life (2009)

I've just recently watched, after what seemed like ages of hearing about it. In this movie Paul's (Justin Long) girlfriend, Anna (Christina Ricci) has a car accident and is pronounced dead. There's only one problem- We're not sure if she's caught between life and death, or if the funeral director (Liam Neeson) is planning on burying her alive. Paul does his best to save Anna but is too late. After Life is one of those films that leaves you wondering what really happened. Was the funeral director really a crazy old man who buried people alive, or did he actually have some special power to communicate with the deceased? I'm not exactly sure.

4. Drag Me To Hell (2009)

Number 4 is Drag Me To Hell, another story with a girlfriend in trouble. Justin always seems to play the boyfriend coming to the rescue, but sadly he usually doesn't save the damsel in distress. Clay's girlfriend, Christine (Alison Lohman) is a loan officer at the bank who evicts an elderly gypsy woman from her home. As revenge the woman puts a curse on Christine. Clay watches her struggle over the next few days as the curse gets stronger. Just when they think they've beaten it, Christine is pulled down into the ground and gone forever. I'll be the first one to say not much scares me movie-wise, but this one really freaked me out.

3. Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

Even though he doesn't have a big role in this movie, Justin Long's cameo as Brandon St. Randy is hands down the most hilarious scene. It's also one of my favorite cameo's to date. The movie is about two friends named Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) who are trying to solve their money issues by making a porno, and in the end they fall in love. At their high school reunion Miri runs into a guy she had a crush on, only to realize he's now gay and dating a man named Brandon. I would have never thought Justin could be such a convincing gay man, but he literally brought me to tears with his hysterical performance.

2. Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Jeepers Creepers is my number 2 on the list, and also one of my favorite horror films. Two siblings, Dairy and Trish are driving home to visit family for spring break when they start getting chased by someone in a creepy old truck with a tag that says BEATNGU. Just when they think they've lost him, they witness the man from the truck pulling bodies wrapped in sheets out of the back. Only this is no man, it's a flesh-eating monster who's out to kill them and eat whatever body parts it desires. The creeper wakes up every 23 years and feeds for 23 days. Dairy and his sister try their best to escape, but you can't run from your fate.

1. Waiting... (2005)

Number 1 goes to Waiting! Not only is it my favorite Justin Long movie, it's also one of my favorite comedies. Any time I need a good laugh I put this one on. It's about a kid named Dean (Justin Long), his friend, Monty (Ryan Reynolds) and all their fellow employees at Shenaniganz. It's basically an inside look at all the antics that go on while working in a restaurant. Everything from spitting in people's food, to the ever popular Penis Showing Game. I can't even count how many times I've yelled "Batwing, Bitch!" for no apparent reason and been looked at like a crazy person.

So that's my top 5 favorite Justin Long films. And now, for your viewing pleasure, Brandon St. Randy.
