Cherry Lips, Strawberry Blonde~

Happy Tuesday lovelies,
So my best friend Sarah let me do her makeup the other night so I thought I'd share it with you all.
She has lovely neutral, pale toned skin which I love doing makeup on, you can use rich, warm colours and bronzer it's always fun in my opinion, so I decided to focus my attention on creating flawless skin with a bright coloured lip as opposed to really dark smoky eyes.
Have a look I hope you like it!

I always begin with eye makeup! Especially, on light skin because eye shadow fall out and mascara smudges etc are always more noticeable.
I applied a neutral skin toned eyeshadow all over her lids and a warm brown eyeshadow in the crease of her eye to create definition. For the eyeliner I used my trusty Calvin Klein liquid eyeliner and did a basic winged eyeliner to create an illusion of bigger eyes and darker eyelashes on Sarah then followed with mascara and curled eyelashes.

Now that the eye makeup is finished, I move onto the foundation after cleaning up under the eyes for any mess the eyeshadow may have made. I always use this acrylic cosmetic palette for foundation because it's more hygienic than the back of your hand and you also can mix colours easier and it just looks more professional, I actually use the lid from a cotton bud tub and it works perfectly!

After prepping her skin with Chanel Le Blanc Primer to even out her skin tone, I used MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation because Sarah has a dry to normal skin type and Studio Sculpt is a very moisturising foundation. I used a MAC Duo Fibre brush to really buff the foundation into Sarah's skin for a flawless finish.

I set Sarah's foundation with a Translucent Powder and began to contour her cheeks with a darker pressed powder (MAC Studio Fix NW42) I wanted to contour with a warm brown shade to warm Sarah's skin tone up as opposed to enhancing the red shades in her skin by using a pink or red blusher. I lightly dusted the powder over her cheek bones just above the hollows of her cheeks.

Once I'd finished applying the
blusher and warmed up Sarah's skin tone so she wasn't washed out, I wanted to add a pop of colour to the lips so I chose MAC Ladybug lipstick and applied it lightly with a lip brush, start by lining the lips with the lip brush and then fill them in once you have the shape right.

For the finishing touch, I filled in Sarah's eyebrows a neutral, ash brown shade eyeshadow.
I used an angled brush to create an arch in her eyebrows and an even shape.
Then, as I do for lips I coated a cotton bud in loose powder and went around the edge of the eyebrows with it to even the edges and ensure there is no "spilling" of eyeshadow onto her face and no uneven lines.
